But recently on a TV programm Jonn Lennon`s wife Yoko Ono spoke that she helped to write this song.
Ono said that idea and inspiration for Imagine came from some of her poems, that Jonn Lennon was reading at that time.
The poems began with the worlds: Imagine. Imagine raindrop, Imagine goldfish.
Ono said: When she and her brother was children, In Japan was Second World War. And they were terribly hungry. And Ono imagine delisiuos menus for brother. And he began to smile. If you think something is impossible. You can imagine it and make it happen.
In an interview just befor he died, Jonn lennon said that her wife really helped to write this song.
Ono said, that this song Jonn Lennon written when they were flying across the Atlantic and at thay home in England in their bedroom.
In March 2002, airport in Liverpool was re-named Jonn Lennon airport.
